Crown Ducal by Charlotte Rhead

Backstamp AGR3 has been seen on patterns 6778, 6822, 6884, 6907, 6918 and 6927. Though 6778 is clearly a colour variation of Ankara 5983 and a Charlotte design it is an example of her work that has been modified and introduced after she had left Richardson’s. This also applies to the pink variation of pattern 5803.

It is probably safe to say that items with an AGR3 backstamp are Crown Ducal items produced post the Charlotte Rhead era and almost certainly post war. It is occasionally seen on older patterns that were re-introduced such as 4040, 4298, 4921 and 5983.

I have never seen a facsimile signature on a piece with an AGR3 backstamp.
