Crown Ducal by Charlotte Rhead

Crown Ducal pottery shapes used for Charlotte Rhead designs that have shape numbers

The majority of Crown Ducal vases, jugs and bowls have shape numbers on their bases. The older shapes have them incised with a pointed tool or impressed with a stamp into the unglazed pot or mould, (INC) Later, the shape numbers were a raised feature of the mould in which the pot was cast, (MOU).

Some of the shapes displayed have a grey background. These have NOT been seen with a tube-lined Charlotte Rhead pattern. I have displayed them to build up a complete  record of the Crown Ducal shapes.
